Portobello Explosion were basically an extension of the Mirage, a
little-known British pop/rock/light psychedelic band that put out seven
singles between 1965 and 1968. The Mirage ended when drummer David Hynes
and guitarist/lead singer Dee Murray left to join the Spencer Davis

grew up with the sound of the radio blaring all through the house in
late sixties and throughout the 70's and music was in his blood. He
takes us through a nostalgic look the archives in his monthly podcast
show with 1960's promo's and adverts which will take the listener back
to those swinging corduroys and bell bottoms. "I

1966 saw the debut
performance of the Santana Blues Band and such was the speed of
their rise that by 1969, the band was playing at the legendary
Woodstock festival. In the same year, their first album was
released, entitled Santana. It went double platinum, but was
exceeded by their next record, 'Abraxas', which went quadruple

The lineup first came to prominence during the Monterey Pop Festival,
one of the first major music festivals. The band delivered a stellar
performance, that ended with Hendrix famously setting his guitar on
